Project Description

This is a project offered to undergraduate students in Indonesia. In this project, students are performing lens modeling on a sample of newly discovered lenses from the Hyper-Suprime Cam (HSC) survey. From the lens models using multi-filter imaging data of HSC, the students will analyze the internal structure of massive elliptical galaxies, namely the ratio of the baryonic and dark matter components, at the intermediate redshift (z ~ 0.5).
